Ahmedabad Kankaria Carnival day 5 Live Keertidan Gadhvi

The historical Kankaria Lake having a periphery of about 2.5 Km has been the symbol of Ahmadabad’s identity since almost 500 years. The historic lake around an island garden called Naginawadi has been an evergreen outing place for the people of Ahmedabad. Along with the adjoining Zoo, Balvatika, Aquarium and surrounding hill gardens, it offered a complete entertainment centre. Given an expanse of around 4 sq km of permanently filled water body, it has acted as the lungs of the relatively lower income South Eastern part of the city.



Kankaria visited by hundreds of visitors was an urban chaos characterized by unclean ghats, traffic Chaos on the 2.4 miles periphery road, unorganized street life including a congested eating area on one corner thriving with street food vendors. The periphery wall was in a dilapidated state, and lake precincts presented somewhat unclean and disorganized environment. Vehicle parking along the periphery walls often blocked the view, and visiting children had a hard time amidst the noise, traffic and resultant chaos. Kankaria had also gained notoriety as a suicide point. In short, a city level pubic space with high potential for being a high quality recreational /entertainment space had deteriorated.

Given the opportunity, the development of the lakefront was planned with facilities like Mini Train, Food Courts, walkways, Linear Gardens & Landscapes and Musical Fountains by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. AMC adopted a model of service delivery of various recreational activities through in-house planning and capacity building combined with use of capable and experienced private sector players in a phased manner.

The project was completed in 2008 at the cost of Rs 360 million. The lake was transformed into a Complete Entertainment Centre. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation resolved to charge the entry to cover the maintenance expenses at the premises. The response from the citizens has been overwhelming. During last one year more than 1.18 crore visitors have enjoyed the ambience of the transformed Kankaria Lake Front (70 lacs visitors during weekdays since start of its operations & 48 lakh people participated during the Kankaria Carnivals of 2008 and 2009). Moreover 12.5 lacs visitors and children took joyride of mini train – ‘Atal Express’. Festivals, small gatherings, educational tours, jogging, informal meetings, picnics etc. have become new face of Kankaria to attract younger generation in a meaningful way. Further, the Lake is emerging as a platform for creative expressions of different communities of artists. Programmes like ultra-fast laser show with sound, fireworks and musical nights are attracting tourists from other cities and states.

CTET Result 2019: केंद्रीय शिक्षक पात्रता परीक्षा ( सीटीईटी ) दिसंबर परीक्षा का रिजल्ट आज जारी कर दिया गया है। जिन उम्मीदवारों ने परीक्षा दी थी वो सीटीईटी की ऑफिशियल वेबसाइट ctet.nic.in पर रिजल्ट चेक कर सकेंगे। रिजल्ट चेक करने के लिए आपको रोल नंबर की जरुरत होगी। परीक्षा में कुल  5.42 लाख उम्मीदवार पास हुए हैं।



सीटीईटी दिसंबर परीक्षा में 28,32,120 अभ्यर्थियों ने रजिस्ट्रेशन करवाया था। इसमें से 24,05,145 अभ्यर्थी परीक्षा में शामिल हुए थे। पेपर 1 में 16,46,620 और पेपर 2 में 11,85,500 अभ्यर्थी शामिल हुए थे

कुल उम्मीदवारों में 22.55 प्रतिशत अभ्यर्थी पास हुए हैं। परीक्षा देने वाले 24,05,145 अभ्यर्थियों में से 5,42,285 अभ्यर्थी पास हुए हैं। पेपर 1 में 2,47,386 और पेपर 2 में 2,94,899 अभ्यर्थी पास हुए हैं। परीक्षा 110 शहरों में आयोजित हुई थी। 2,935 परीक्षा केंद्र बनाए गए थे।

कुल 3,12,558 महिलाओं ने सीटीईटी क्वालिफाई किया है, वहीं 2,29,718 पुरुषों ने सीटीईटी की परीक्षा पास की है। सीटीईटी परीक्षा में 29 लाख से ज्यादा उम्मीदवारों ने हिस्सा लिया था। आपको बता दें कि  सीटीईटी की परीक्षा का आयोजन 8 दिसंबर को किया गया था।  सीटीईटी की परीक्षा की आंसर की और ओएमआर शीट भी कुछ दिन पहले जारी की गई थी।

यह परीक्षा देश के 110 शहरों में 20 भाषाओं में आयोजित हुई। CBSE हर साल दो बार सीटीईटी परीक्षा आयोजित करता है। पहली परीक्षा जुलाई और दूसरी दिसंबर के महीने में आयोजित की जाती है। सीटीईटी परीक्षा का मुख्य उद्देश्य सराकरी विद्यालयों में गुणवत्ता वाले तथा कुशल शिक्षकों की भर्ती करवाना होता है।

यह परीक्षा 2,144 केंद्रों पर आयोजित की गई थी। सीटेट के पेपर -1 में भाग लेने वाले सफल उम्मीदवार कक्षा 1 से लेकर कक्षा 5 तक के लिए होने वाली शिक्षक भर्ती के लिए योग्य माने जाएंगे। जबकि पेपर -2 में बैठने वाले सफल अभ्यर्थी कक्षा 6 से 8वीं तक के लिए होने वाली शिक्षक भर्ती के लिए योग्य माने जाएंगे।

Salient features of NEP 2019:

The policy aims to universalize the pre-primary education by 2025 and provide foundational literacy/numeracy for all by 2025
It proposes new Curricular and Pedagogical Structure, with 5+3+3+4 design covering the children in the age group 3-18 years. Under this, Pre-Primary & Grades 1-2 is considered as foundational Stage; Grades 3-5 as Preparatory Stage; Grades 6-8 as Middle Stage and Grades 9-12 as Secondary Stage. This is an academic restructuring only; there will be no physical restructuring of schools

Universal Access & Retention with 100% Gross Enrolment Ratio for all school education by 2030.

Children learn languages, most quickly between 2-8 years, and multilingualism has great cognitive benefits for students. Therefore a three-language formula has been proposed
It proposes the teaching of other classical languages and literature, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Pali, Persian, and Prakrit in schools
A new independent State School Regulatory Authority (SSRA) to be created
It aims to consolidate 800 universities & 40,000 colleges into around 15,000 large, multidisciplinary institutions

The policy proposes three types of Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs): Research Universities, Teaching Universities and Autonomous degree-granting colleges
It aims to provide autonomy to all higher education institutions. Higher education institutions to be governed by Independent Boards with complete academic and administrative autonomy
An autonomous body called the National Research Foundation (NRF) to be set up through an Act of Parliament

Rashtriya Shiksha Aayog or the National Education Commission - apex body - to be constituted. It will be chaired by the Prime Minister and will comprise eminent educationists, researchers, Union Ministers, representation of Chief Ministers of States, eminent professionals from various fields
MHRD to be re-designated as the Ministry of Education (MoE)
Increase in public investment by the Central and State Governments to 20% of overall public expenditure over a 10 year period

CBSE CTET Answer Key 2019 Released: Candidates can now download the CBSE CTET 2019 answer key from the official website. The answer key of CBSE CTET 2019 for the exam held on 8th December 2019 has been released. The CBSE CTET answer key to 2019 has been released on the official websites - ctet.nic.in. Candidates can access the same by logging in with their user Id and password. Alternatively, a direct link to the CBSE CTET Kerala 2019 answer key has also been provided on this page.

As per reports, more than 28 lakh students had appeared for the CBSE CTET exam 2019. The answer key of CBSE CTET2019 has been released in the online mode only. The official schedule mentions that the CTET 2019 result will be announced by the Board in about six weeks from the date of conducting the examination. The CTET 2019 result will be valid for seven years from the date of declaration of its result for qualifying candidates to be considered for appointment under all categories. 

DigiLocker is a key initiative under Digital India, the Government of India's flagship program aimed at transforming India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. Targeted at the idea of paperless governance, DigiLocker is a platform for issuance and verification of documents & certificates in a digital way, thus eliminating the use of physical documents. The DigiLocker website can be accessed at https://digitallocker.gov.in/.

If stopped by a traffic cop for valid papers, then you may show documents stored in DigiLocker to avoid hefty penalties under the amended motor vehicles law. A senior Road Transport Ministry official said that motorists can produce documents using DigiLocker or mParivahan mobile app. The Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill, 2019, which aims to enforce stricter penalties for road traffic violations, went into effect at the start of this month.

"Motorists can produce digital documents. Digital documents do not mean scanned copy or a photo of driving license, RC (registration certificate) or insurance. They have to be stored on DigiLocker or mParivahan app," the official said.

Jharkhand seems to be slipping from the BJP's hands as the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress alliance reached the majority mark, shooting ahead of the ruling BJP -- 40 seats to 30 -- as votes for the Jharkhand election are being counted.
With election trends showing clear lead for the alliance, celebrations have begun in the JMM and Congress camp with party workers bursting crackers and offering sweets to those assembled there.



Chief Minister Raghubar Das, however, remained confident that the BJP will retain the government in the state. "The margins are very narrow... so narrow that it can completely turn the leads as what you see at the moment. Those who are celebrating can do what they feel. No one can stop someone from celebrating," he said. Mr Das is trailing in Jamshedpur East, a seat that he has been winning since 1995. A party needs to get 41 seats to form government in the state. The election was held in five phases between November 30 and December 20.

Jharkhand is the third BJP-ruled state after Maharashtra and Haryana that voted this year after the national election, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi won a resounding mandate to continue for a second term. It is critical for the BJP to retain the state after losing power in Maharashtra, where its decades-old alliance with the Shiv Sena also collapsed.

Both BJP and Congress alliance made their best efforts to lure the voters. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President and Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed nine rallies each, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi addressed five rallies and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra addressed one rally.

A calendar is a system of organizing days for social, religious, commercial or administrative purposes. This is done by giving names to periods of time, typically days, weeks, months and years. A date is the designation of a single, specific day within such a system. A calendar is also a physical record (often paper) of such a system. A calendar can also mean a list of planned events, such as a court calendar or a partly or fully chronological list of documents, such as a calendar of wills.

Periods in a calendar (such as years and months) are usually, though not necessarily, synchronised with the cycle of the sun or the moon. The most common type of pre-modern calendar was the lunisolar calendar, a lunar calendar that occasionally adds one intercalary month to remain synchronised with the solar year over the long term.



The Latin term was adopted in Old French as calendier and from there in Middle English as calender by the 13th century. The term calendar is taken from calendae, the term for the first day of the month in the Roman calender, related to the verb calare "to call out", referring to the "calling" of the new moon when it was first seen. Latin calendarium meant "account book, register" (as accounts were settled and debts were collected on the calends of each month). The Latin term was adopted in Old French as calendier and from there in Middle English as calender by the 13th century

A full calendar system has a different calendar date for every day. Thus the week cycle is by itself not a full calendar system; neither is a system to name the days within a year without a system for identifying the years.

The last set in this batch with spinners. KC Cariappa goes unsold. TN's M. Siddharth, who starred in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament, gets an opening bid from KKR. KKR buys Siddharth for Rs. 20 lakh.

England all-rounder Sam Curran comes up and CSK makes its first move of the auction. Curran was the most expensive foreigner in the auction last year. CSK and DC take the price up by Rs. 5.50 crore. CSK gets its first buy of the auction in Sam Curran with Rs. 5.50 crore.

Australia's Pat Cummins comes up next. DC and RCB begin an intense bid for the pacer and the price is up to Rs. 5.50 crore in no time! Cummins' stock is now up by Rs. 10 crore... add 3 more crore to it and still going on. DC's bid now up to Rs. 14 crore and RCB isn't giving in. Bid now up to Rs. 14.75 crore and he will become the most expensive foreigner in the IPL. KKR joins the race with a bid of Rs. 15 crore. KKR comes in with two bids and take Cummins home for Rs. 15.5 crore!

Yusuf Pathan is unsold.  New Zealand's Colin de Grandhomme is unsold for his base price of Rs. 75 Lakh.

England's Chris Woakes is up next and DC snaps him up for Rs. 1.50 crore.

Onto the all-rounders now with Glenn Maxwell. DC and Kings XI go for the hard-hitting Aussie with the bid now going past Rs. 6 Crore. Up to Rs. 8.5 crore now with DC! KXIP coach Anil Kumble looks a bit reluctant now. No, KXIP isn't throwing in the towel yet. The bid reaches the Rs. 9 crore mark. DC takes the bid to Rs. 10 crore... Maxwell returns to Kings Xi Punjab for Rs. 10.75 crore! A round of applause goes around the room as the gavel goes down on the winning bid.
