All you have to do is unhide the statuses folder first. You don't need to reboot your phone or jailbreak the iOS device to unhood the statuses folder. All you have to do is go to the File Manager's menu bar. Here you will see a settings option. After clicking on Settings, the Unhide Files option appears. After clicking on unhide the file manager will have a WhatsApp folder to go to. You will then see a Media folder. After going to the media folder, you will see another handle folder named statuses. You can see all the pictures and videos of the status in this same folder. Once you know this you can watch and download any video or image.
There is another app as well
Other apps for downloading WhatsApp status are also available in the market. Although these apps have not been launched by WhatsApp, you can download your favorite status instantly with the help of third party apps. You can easily download such apps from Google Play Store. However there is a risk of taking your data after downloading these apps. We don't know how secure this app is. So it would be better if you use only the feature provided in the phone.
