As people still remain indoors during the lockdown period to curb the spread of COVID-19, the Gujarat Department of Education has decided to introduce home learning for college kids from class III to class VIII. Students are going to be given 'weekly learning material' by using various social media platforms, including WhatsApp.
Every Saturday, students are going to be provided study material via social media platforms for subsequent four to 5 weeks, said sources within the Department of Education . Schools are pack up earlier this month thanks to the coronavirus pandemic and therefore the school students are promoted, en masse. "Starting March 28, we've provided students with the study materials and that they also are given assignments to finish reception ," said a politician .
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will launch launch a home schooling programme at 9 am on June 15, said State Education minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama while interacting with media persons here.
He said, Dooardarshan Girnar channel will air school education sessions for college kids of sophistication 3 to eight for daily half-hour and for sophistication 9 to 12 for daily one hour.
Chudasama sad, GCERT under the government has developed this innovative digital home learning programme, further for the primary time in India.

‘Union ministery of Human Resource Development has stated that schools-colleges are getting to remain closed till Assumption this year. The government has begin with home learning programme as schools are getting to remain closed for such an extended time and globally, the recent trend has been physical to digital shift,’ the minister said adding that those without TV facility are going to be given self-learning material through teachers.
‘Home learning material ‘Ghare Shikhiye’ has been developed in such how that students can do self learning and can also take help of oldsters ,’ he said adding that the govt has planned clusters of 30-35 students. The teachers will remain in touch with cluster of scholars through phone calls.
In a bid to make sure that the new school term isn't suffering from the pandemic, Gujarat government on Saturday announced 'Home Learning' programme for Gujarati medium schools from June 15.
Similarly, BISEG will telecast programme of GCERT and education Board for normal 5 to 12 through Vande Gujarat Channel.
Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said in Gandhinagar that curriculum for college kids from Class III to XII are going to be covered within the educational programmes which will be aired on DD Girnar. Vande Gujarat channel also will show programmes for college kids of sophistication V to XII.
